Canam Asia has been operating a plant in Ra’s Al-Khaymah (R.A.K.), which is located north of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, since early 2007. The plant has an annual production capacity of 40,000 tons.

This is Canam Asia’s second production facility, the other being in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The R.A.K. plant produces long-span joists, Hambro joists and steel deck.

Canam Group has an ownership interest in United Steel Structures Limited (USSL), a Chinese company that operates a bridge and structural steel fabrication plant in Guangzhou in southeastern China.

The plant has an annual production capacity of 40,000 tons and relies primarily on export markets. Guangzhou Shipyard International Co. Ltd. is the majority shareholder.
