Canam International has a technology transfer agreement with Zamil Steel Buildings Vietnam, which is based in Hanoi. Zamil Steel Buildings Vietnam is a joint venture between Zamil Industrial Investment Company, located in Saudi Arabia, and Mitsui & Co., a Japanese company.
Zamil Steel Buildings Vietnam operates a plant in Amata Industrial Park in Bien Hoa City that manufactures pre-engineered buildings, structural steel and open web steel joists. The plant, which began operating in 2009, has an annual joist production capacity of 12,000 tons.
